Brenda & David WakemanMy wife Brenda and I had the distinct pleasure of attending the 14th Annual Russell Real Estate Services Golf Outing Blue Heron Golf Clubto benefit the local Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year the event was held at Blue Heron Golf Club in Medina, Ohio and had to have been the best golf outing that I have ever attended.

The day started out raining and there were concerns about the weather. With God’s blessings the rain stopped and the sun came out. The start was delayed a bit, but in the end we were able to enjoy a great day on the golf course. Read the rest of this entry

New 2010 Clubs from SHOP.PGATOUR.COM

The FedEx Cup got underway this week at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey, home of the Barclay Tournament. Coming into this 4 tournament playoff, Tiger Woods as a firm lead in the standings.

Everyone is watching this week to see how Tiger is going to do. He is the odds on favorite to win this year. It has been said by quite a few announcers that he appears to be focused on the FedEx Cup.

So who will walk away victorious this year? It’s really too early to tell, but there will be a great deal of focus on Tiger The BarclaysWoods.

The true winners of this playoff and all the tournaments that are played each year, in my opinion, are the communities and the charities that are involved. Each year millions of dollars are brought in to the community and to the charities by the PGA, their sponsors and the fans that attend. This is truly one of the great accomplishments of professional golf.

Golf, unlike most sports is about giving as much as it is receiving. When you go to a professional tournament as a spectator, the people you see that are working the tournament are volunteers. You have to applaud the individuals that give up a week of their time so that they tournament can be a success. My hat goes off to them. Read the rest of this entry

New 2010 Clubs from SHOP.PGATOUR.COM

Tell the truth… when you walk out onto the first tee, what are you thinking?  I know that most Golfers, including Professionals, are thinking “Let me hit this Drive Long, Straight and in the fairway”.  What you do on the first tee will more than likely dictate how the rest of your round will play out.

Hit a good drive and your confidence is up and you are ready to take on the golf course and all of its challenges.

Hit it poorly and you will be wondering what to expect next.

There’s an amazing technique that thousands of golfers are using to consistently drive their ball straight down the middle of the fairway.  PurePoint Golf has put together a System that’s actually out-performing all the “traditional” swings – hands down.  Professional Golfer Bobby Eldridge has created the PurePoint Driver DVD that is guaranteed to drastically improve your drives.

If you are like most amateur golfers, you have been searching for the answer to Launching Drives consistently down the fairway with pin-point accuracy.  There is probably nothing more frustrating for the average golfer than inconsistency on tee.

Like most golfers, you’ve more than likely tried everything to improve your game.  You have spent thousands on new clubs, taken numerous lessons, bought new sunglasses, different golf balls and maybe even a magnetic bracelet.  The more you try the more frustrated you become when none of this seems to make any difference.

Discover How With a Simple Technique You Can Launch Drives

with Pin-Point Accuracy and Machine-Like Accuracy

The PurePoint Driver DVD will change the way “weekend hackers” play the game when they discover there’s finally a stroke-slashing, easy-to-learn swing system that is perfect for both professionals and for the average golfer.
Using state-of-the-art swing analysis video, the entire golf swing has been broken down to simple basics; you can learn it all in just 44 minutes and 36 seconds!

With the PurePoint Driver DVD you’ll learn the simplest swing techniques ever.

Have you ever seen those balls on someone’s desk, knocking each other back and forth over and over again – Never slowing down, never stopping? That’s the principle behind this unique new technique, and this is exactly the consistency you are about to learn.

This is not some outlandish claim, just read the testimonials of other golfers just like you.  See what these golfers are saying about the PurePoint Driver DVD training program. Read the rest of this entry

New 2010 Clubs from SHOP.PGATOUR.COM

It happens to us all. We’ll set up a tee time to play a round of Golf knowing in our minds that we are going to have a great day on the golf course. Our intentions are to go out to the course, meet up with friends and play a competitive round of golf.

But as the round unfolds we start hitting errant shots. Maybe we hit a fade and it ends up in the first cut of rough. A couple of swings later we might pull a shot or hit it a bit chunky. You get the idea, when we headed out to play, we expected different results.

So what happened?

If you are like most players, you’re scratching your head wondering what you have to do to fix your swing. But it’s not your swing at all; it’s the Mental Side of Golf that is affecting you.

When was the last time you practiced visualizing your golf shot?

When was the last time you took time to practice the Mental Side of Golf?

When you go to the driving range, do you take the time to mentally prepare for your practice, or are you just out there trying to improve your swing?

I often asked myself these questions, until I finally realized that Golf is 80% mental and 20% Physical. Think about it… Like most, I like to watch the Pros play. I want to see how they are going to perform in different situations.

Professional Golfers spend hundreds of hours practicing their swings, working with coaches and preparing. Why is it then that we see a professional come down the back nine on Sunday leading a tournament end up losing by a stroke or two?

The problem isn’t their swing; the problem is with the Mental Side of Golf. They are no longer in their comfort zone, mentally. They are thinking about the trouble areas they need to avoid instead of where they want the ball to land. Read the rest of this entry
