2010 PGA Tour Season Begins Today – A Great Year for Golf, Even Without Tiger
It’s 2010 and today the PGA Tour kicks off the new season in Kapalua, Hawaii. What a great place to be in January. As I get ready to follow the season, I have to wonder when, if ever, will the media move on and stop talking about Tiger Woods.
There are many great golfers on tour and yes Tiger will be missed, but isn’t it time to start looking forward to what will more than likely be a spectacular year?
I am looking forward to seeing who will emerge on the scene as an up and coming talent.
I think this is the year we see players like Anthony Kim and other young players start to show that they have game. This is going to be an exciting year and we need to embrace it and forget about the Tiger troubles.
• How are the new groove rules going to affect scoring on tour?
• Who is going to dominate the tour this year?
• Who will win the majors this year?
What a year…three of the four majors are being played at historic venues.
• The Masters – Augusta National – April 8-11
• The US Open – Pebble Beach – June 17-20
• The British Open – St. Andrews – July 15-18
What a great year for Golf. I can’t wait!
Looking out my window at over a foot of snow, I am definitely going to be watching the SBS Championship this week while I dream of warm weather and open fairways.
Let the season begin. I know it is going to be one to remember!
