The good news is that anyone can break bad habits and learn good ones. Here are a couple of tips to help you on your way to playing better golf.

Here are 5 golf tips to improve your game

1. Proper Aim – Where you aim is extremely important. If your alignment is wrong you won’t send the ball in the right direction.  Your clubface is the only thing what propels the ball.  You need to line up the clubface along the target line first. Then take your stance with your shoulders and hips parallel to the target line.

2. Landing Zone – There are times when players will misjudge the distance to a hazard.  You should try to aim away from potential problems.  When possible, Tee it up on the side where the problem is.  Choose a landing zone away from the hazard.  This will help to keep the ball in play and avoid penalties.

3. Wrist Action – Improper wrist action will equate to a poor shot about 90 percent of the time.  Keep the left wrist flat in relation to the back of the left forearm and the back of the left hand, and don’t swing the club back farther than shoulder turn.

4. Reading Greens – This has to be one of the easiest things to improve.  Your golf ball will in most cases, roll away from a hill and towards a water source.  The grain of the grass will influence the speed and break of your ball. Shiny grass show the grain running away from you, and dull grass highlights the grain running towards you. Putts with the grain go faster and further. Those against the grain go slower and less far.

5. Shoulder Turn – Your shoulders should follow your swing. They should be passive and not lead. Remember that your shoulder movement will determine the direction that your club, and therefore the ball, will travel.
