I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Cody Wheeler, a respected PGTAA Teaching Professional and the creator of The Ultimate Short Game.

Like most golfers, I am always looking for a way to improve my golf game. There is so much instructional information on golf; it’s hard to sort through it all.

Cody’s eBook titled The Ultimate Short Game has been helping hundreds of golfers improve their short game and I know it will help yours.

Here is an excerpt from my interview with Cody:

1. Where did you get your start as an instructor?
I actually started teaching in high school. As the number one player on the golf team I felt like it was part of my job as our leader to help the other players on the team. I would routinely spend time outside of our normal practice sessions helping everyone on the team with whatever they needed help with. I always got a lot of satisfaction and enjoyment from being able to make a positive contribution to my team and to the success of others, so teaching stuck with me.

2. Where did you get your training?
My training as a teacher comes mainly from my experience in life as a golfer. I read a lot of golf material and play a lot of golf myself. My certification is from the PGTAA, or Professional Golf Teacher’s Association of America and I did go through their certification process, however most of my knowledge has been obtained on my own, as is the case with most golf instructors.
