Free Golf Tips | Golf Mindset
In order to play your best, you must be focused. Jokingly, I have always said, “Golf is 80% mental and the other 20% is in your head”.
If you think about it, this really isn’t that far off. Our subconscious mind controls what our bodies do naturally and our conscious mind screws it all up.
One problem I think Golfers of all levels have, is trying to compete with the other players within their playing group, rather than playing within their own game.
You know what I mean, we have all been through it and probably still struggle with it. Maybe you’re playing in a tournament or you have been teamed up with someone new. The natural tendency, at least for men, is to try and out play the other person rather than play their normal game and challenge the course.
The game of golf is competitive, but the biggest challenge in the game is between our ears. No matter how well we know the Golf course, another player or our own game, there are times when we just have to try and out play the other player.
Usually when this happens it leads to disastrous results. Not everyone plays like Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson. You can see this happen almost every week on tour, someone less known than Tiger or Phil has a lead going into the final round, only to end up shooting a high score and finishing 2nd, third or worse.
Having control of your emotions and controlling your mental game is one of the most difficult things to do. Golfers practice their long game, short game, putting and every other aspect except the mental game.
Having struggled with the mental side of my game over the years, I decided enough was enough. I started searching for answers. I’ve had more than one person tell me to not over think what I was doing, but as I am sure you are aware, this is easier said than done.
I found this system called “The Renegade Mindset Techniques for Golf” and I thought to myself, yeah right. I checked out what others had to say about it and decided to give it a try.
Although the techniques are somewhat unorthodox, I have been impressed with what the Renegade Mindset Techniques for Golf offers. By practicing a few simple techniques I found that I was able get more control over my mindset on the golf course.
It took a bit of practice and repetition, but it really works.

Yes the mental side of the game is so important. Golfers spend too much time working on physical part of their golf swings instead of fixing what’s going on inside their head.

Be aggressive but relaxed with your shots. Trust your stroke and don’t brood over bad breaks or bad shots. Just hit the next shot to the best recovery location you can.
