For many, knowing how to work the ball with a controlled fade or draw could shave 4 or 5 strokes, maybe even more off our scores. The video below offers easy to follow golf swing tips that will have you drawing or fading the ball just like the pros do.

Golf Swing Tips – Playing a Draw

There are a couple of adjustments you want to make when preparing to play a draw. After you go through your normal pre-shot routine, you want to make the follow adjustments.

  • Turn your grip over to the right a little.
  • Aim your shoulders, hips and knees right of the target.
  • Move Your Back foot back in your stance.

Golf Swing Tips – Playing a Fade

There are a couple of adjustments you want to make when preparing to play a fade. After you go through your normal pre-shot routine, you want to make the follow adjustments.

  • Start by aiming further left than you normally would.

  • Aim your shoulders, hips and knees left of the target.

With both of these golf swing tips, you want to swing away and allow the minor adjustments you made do the work for you. Don’t try to force the ball to draw or fade. This will end up causing at a minimum, more movement than you want. At worse, you could end up mishitting the ball.
