How to Dress for a Round of Golf

golf tipsHow to Dress for a Round of Golf

When I play golf, I like to wear something comfortable and appropriate for the golf course.  Some public golf courses have dress codes that require men to wear collared shirts.  Others allow you to dress pretty much anyway you like.

I was out the other day for a round of golf at my local course. Now, I have seen people on this course dress in various different ways and I usually don’t pay much attention.  Normally, I’ll see people in anything from tee shirts to polo shirts.  Once I even saw a guy in business dress.

This day was a bit different and it caught me off guard. I might have been on the third or fourth hole when I noticed a foursome playing an adjacent hole.  They were all dress in cotton scrubs.  I did a double take.  Not that I had a problem with what they were wearing, it’s just that I had never seen anyone on the golf course in scrubs before.

It got me to thinking… They all looked so comfortable in their garb that I just had to learn more.  As it turned out, they were all from the local hospital and try to get out and play whenever they can.  I learned that this is their normal attire when they head over from work.

Well, I got a chance to strike up a conversation with them at the clubhouse.  They told me that although their dress might be unusual to see, it was actually more comfortable than wearing a polo shirt.  Being curious I had to ask where they got the scrubs.  They told me to check out: http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/.

So, I guess they question is “Is this How to Dress for a Round of Golf?”

You decide!

That’s incredible David. I never thought I would see that on a golf course in my time. Most clubs in Australia have relaxed the dress standards a lot just to get more people on the golf course.

I’m not a big fan of it and am still somewhat of a traditionalist and like to see collared shirts etc. However, as long as they behave themselves and play by the rules it’s not so bad.

I think I’ll stick to my Adidas climate clothing. I love it and it is so comfortable.

    Cheers

Comfortable? no doubt but not bringing any colour into the game, Loudmouth clothing combine both – comfort and colour. Oh what colour and what patterns.
You don’t need to say a word, the pants do the talking for you. There’s no better fun with your trousers on.
